What a great summer. Seattle has had record temps and little rain. Chris had great weather with her family in Canada. I had my niece visit from Colorado.
I discovered Citipass. It is available in several cities. I bought my tickets on line. Adult cost about $60, and children are $40. We received tickets for The Pacific Science center, we were able to go up in the Space Needle twice that day. (Normal Prices for adults for one trip were $18.00.) Also included were the zoo, a one hour harbor cruise, the Museum of Flight and the Seattle Aquarium! What a deal! The part the kids loved best............we had VIP treatment! We didn't have to stand in the ticket lines, we just moved to the front and had special entry. The passes are good for 8 days. http://citypass.com
I traveled to Colorado, visted Vail, ! Attended a rodeo in Beaver Creek. Ale did a great job singing the National Anthem. I loved not just the rodeo, and how family oriented it was....but with the adults... NO ONE in the stands texting, or talking on their cell phone! (Yes, coverage was available!) There were enjoying the moment! I didn't write down the name of the rodeo clown/ announcer. You were witty, informative and had that Pixar/adult humor that kids never get during the movie, but we love! Thank you!
I finally met Stephen and Sharon. They helped my son when he was in Denver. I loved picking their para normal brains.... thank you for that!.http://ghostpi.com Check them out!
Thank you to Judy and her bunch at the "boarding house." We are Dillon's grandmothers! It is so much fun to be able to get together and enjoy each other and the wonderful gift we share. Thanks for loaning me a carry on bag for the flight home. I had some retail therapy and had to check a bag!
So, where are the travel tips? Here you go!
http://citypass.com Check to see if your vacation is on here. The Southern California deals are sweet!!
Make sure you have your ID matching. Your ticket and your ID must match. I saw a few people with names that didn't match, and the extra screening can be avoided.
Thanks to Frank, who was waiting with me on the flight back. He told me that his less than one ounce creme, in a five ounce bottle, was thrown out, because the container was over 3 ounce.......make sure you carry 3 ounce or less containers with your carry on, and they must fit in a 1 quart sized zip lock bag. 1 quart bag per passenger.
Travel local, go to some communtiy events, Local talent is great! These kids, or adults put their hearts in what they do. Find the deals in your area. They had a locals discount in Edwards, Colorado. Present your card and it was 15% off your meal. What is your town doing?
Travel Safe and Healthy,
