Know anyone who’s been on a cruise lately? We’ve had friends and family return recently, and the first thing we noticed is they were enthusiastic and rested and would do it again!
Tom and his wife, Lindsie are in their 20’s and traveled through the Panama Canal. They traveled on Princess Cruise lines. They enjoyed meeting people from all over the world. They really liked the idea of being able to access their “Estate Account” from their room phone. You can check the amounts you have incurred already. You were not allowed to bring alcohol on the ship. Those who tried had it confiscated. They found the crew, friendly, knowledgeable and got tips on times for free cocktail nights to how to play the games. They would do it again, but would like more time in ports.
Jill and her husband, Jim traveled with Holland America to the Caribbean. Jill is a savvy seasoned traveler. She looked at the company website, cruise critic web sites and got information from her travel agent. They were able to bring 5 bottles of wine on board. They avoided the $10.00 cork fee by drinking on the veranda in their room before dinner. She expected to pay extra for pictures, lattes, cocktails and beer. The service made her feel safe and taken care of and she is ready to go again.
Trying to gather information on cruse lines is a big task. You can get information about ages of passengers, themes, and passenger reviews. I found a couple of web sites that I really liked. Lots of information about cruising and you can get information about different lines. I used my search engine and typed in cruise forums. http://cruisecritic.com and http://cruisetalk.org
It can get expensive to get over the counter medications from the gift shops. A small bottle of Advil was $9.00. You’ll be able to read Jill’s testimonial on our website. Our TRAVEL RX BAG was used several times during her trip. Don’t forget to take your tried and true over the counter meds you sometimes need. Cold and sinus medicine. Antibiotic crème and something for an itchy rash…..when you are far from home, these little items can mean so much! Remember to keep your medications with you when you are getting on the ship. Never separate yourself from your medicine!
